Subpost: Potential covers for Pirates Vs Fairies

Choosing a cover to the book is proving to be harder than writing the work itself; while I'm trying to read through the text and get it just as I want it, I am also attempting to design and create a cover, using those very good people at picnik.com.
I'm finding that I am getting completely distracted by the design. Not only by actually choosing one, but the thrill of trying different ideas.
Here are the choices so far, in order of appearance within my mind:
Version 1
Version 2

Version 3
Version using picnik 1
Version 2
Version 3
Version 4

Final version so far!

It could go on and on, more ideas, more photos. Questions: who will look at the cover? What will they be looking for? Will it appeal to children or just adults? Would you buy this?

Onwards with the decision making process.

I think you picked the strongest design out of your options.
